Dr. A.T.W. Simeons was a medical doctor who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Heidelberg. He specialized in the study of tropical diseases followed by work in Africa and India. He developed the use of injectable atebrin for malaria and was awarded the Red Cross Order of merit. Dr. Simeons was an accomplished scientist whose work included a new method of staining malaria parasites known as Simeons’ stain. Dr. Simeons contributed to many scientific publications.
